On the 8th January 2013 at around 9.50 pm a twenty-seven-year-old female was sitting on the train when she was approached by a male in his early twenties who attempted to start a conversation. The man stated that was getting off at the same station as her and that he was going home with her. The female victim did not respond and went to exit the train at Heidelberg Station. The assailant followed her and indecently assaulted her as she exited the train and then followed her. The woman sought assistance from another unknown man and the assailant then boarded a train to Eltham.
