Between April and June 2014 there have been three armed robberies at retail outlets in Mount Waverley.
On the 07-06-14 at around 4.10 pm two men entered a Hamilton Place bakery armed a large machete and stole the cash drawer containing money before fleeing the shop.
On the 06-06-14 at around 6.25 pm two men attended the Pinewood Shopping Centre armed with a large machete and baseball bat. They entered a supermarket and stole cash and cigarettes before escaping in a dark coloured Nissan coupe that was driven by an accomplice.
On the 01-06-14 at around 7.40 pm three men entered a bottle shop on Huntingdale Road armed with a baseball bat, large machete and a knife. They stole the cash drawer as well as cigarettes before fleeing the store in a dark-coloured Nissan coupe driven by a fourth man.
Police believe that the armed robberies are linked and that the offenders may live locally.
