On Saturday the 8th March 2014 at around 4.00 am a man broke into a St Kilda apartment block in Acland Street and entered a bedroom where four female tourists were asleep. The male offender then took off his top and attempted to get into a bed with one of the females, grabbing her by her arms and legs. The female then awoke, as did the other three female occupants, and they confronted the male offender who then fled. Some five minutes later the same male again broke into the same apartment block and approached another female in the bathroom. The female quickly returned to her room and locked the door. The offender was described as being aged in his mid twenties with a shaved head and of African appearance. Moorabbin police are appealing for public assistance following the aggravated burglary.
