On Friday the 14th August 2015 just before 8.00 pm a male carrying a backpack entered the milk bar on Cameron Parade in Watsonia North and approached the female shop assistant. The offender opened the bag and demanded cash from the attendant who fearing that the offender was in possession of a weapon placed an amount of cash into the bag. The offender then fled the scene running west along Cameron Parade. The offender was described as Caucasian in appearance, aged in his early twenties with light brown hair. Crime Investigation Unit detectives from Banyule are appealing for public assistance following the armed robbery.
