On the14-02-17 at around 6.30 pm on West Melton Drive near the intersection with James Cook Drive a 14-year-old boy stepped off the nature strip onto the roadway and when he saw two motorbikes travelling towards him quickly stepped back onto the nature strip. One of the two motor bike riders stopped and punched the boy to the ground and then alighted punching him a second time before riding off. The young victim sustained facial injuries and was treated in hospital. The offender was described as aged in his mid-thirties, tall and of solid build with facial hair and was riding a black dirt bike and wearing a black, white & blue coloured fox helmet and fluoro orange goggles. Melton police are appealing for witnesses.
