On Friday the 18-10-13 a fifty-three-year-old man was drinking with his forty-six-year-old friend at a licensed venue in Ardlie Street West Meadows and after befriending some locals the pair were invited back to a house in Turner Street West Meadows arriving at around 11:10 pm. Upon arriving at the house the fifty-three-year-old male was assaulted by an unknown man who was already at the house. The victim’s friend came to his aid and was also assaulted. The fifty-three-year-old victim sustained serious head injuries and was treated at the Royal Melbourne Hospital.
