Completely agree. My son was assaulted at school by a bully at age 12. His front tooth was knocked out of its socket and the nerve was severed.

You will be pleased to hear that my son had his hearing yesterday and was awarded all dental costs, counselling etc., and $8,000 compensation.

I am SO pleased that my son's experience has been acknowledged - this is an important part of healing for kids that have been victims of bullying. To feel heard and have the FACT that they are a victim formally acknowledged is all part of the healing process, that will enable children to move forward and not fall into depression or have self esteem issues.

There are anti-harrassment laws that protect adults from sexual, physical, verbal assault in the workforce. Why are there not laws to protect the young who are unable to protect themselves?
