On Saturday the 24-05-14 at around 7.45 pm a twenty-three-year-old female was walking along Rayment Street in Thornbury when she was grabbed from behind by an unknown male assailant. The female victim managed to free herself and run down a nearby lane way before contacting the police. The assaialant is described as being Caucasian, over 170 cm tall and was wearing a black spray jacket. Detectives from Epping Sexual Offence and Child Abuse Investigation Team (SOCIT) are seeking public assistance to the indecent assault.
