On the 29-05-15 at around 2.00 am two male offenders armed with a firearm and wearing balaclavas and yellow fluorescent vests with the word ‘police’ on them entered the Red Gap Road rural property in Lancefield via an unlocked door. The offenders then woke up the two adult occupants, a forty-two-year-old man and thirty-six-year-old woman, and tied them up making demands for money while they searched their home for money. During the robbery the female victim was taken into a bedroom where she was sexually assaulted. Police described the incident as a “terrifying experience” and are appealing for public information to help apprehend offenders.
