The Legal Services Board has recently awarded just over $2 million to ten recipients for projects aimed at promoting and improving the legal and justice system in Victoria. Two of the projects include:
A grant of over $60K to investigate and propose the best approach to establishing a specialist court list to respond to child sexual abuse cases in the Family Division of the Melbourne Children’s Court.
A grant of over $200K to educate newly arrived refugees on parenting, family law and family violence.
It is hoped that the above financial awards will assist victims of crime, including child sexual abuse victims and refugees, suffering from family violence.
