A forty-four-year-old male Taxi Driver was charged with raping a twenty-three-year-old female in Bendigo on the 21-10-12. It is alleged that the taxi driver picked up the female victim in the Bendigo CBD on early Sunday morning and on the way to her home the taxi driver stopped at a car park and raped her. The alleged assailant was given bail but ordered to stop driving taxis. Detectives said that there was another incident in Bendigo recently and could not rule out the same taxi driver being involved.
