On the 14-09-12 at around 8.15 pm two men were involved in an altercation outside a pizza shop in Lygon Street East Brunswick with the victim being struck with a machete. The forty-year-old victim sustained serious injuries and was taken to the Royal Melbourne Hospital. The assailant was described as being aged in his twenties and of Asian appearance and wearing a black hoodie. The assailant handed himself in to police this morning.
