On the 14-10-12 at around 3.00 am it is alleged that a thirty-three-year-old taxi driver physically assaulted two nineteen-year-old females in Collingwood. The taxi driver was interviewed by police but has not been barred from driving taxis.
The victims said that they asked the taxi driver to take them to Collingwood and while doing so they were sitting in the back seat laughing when the assailant believed that they were laughing at him. The girls said that they reassured him that they were not laughing at him but rather at a text message at which time he became violent striking one of the girls to the face and kicking her to the leg and then punched the other to the ground before diving off.
