On Australia Day just after 1.00 am a thirty-two-year-old male from Werribee was standing at the entrance of a hotel on Nelson Place in Williamstown when he was assaulted. It is believed that the offender followed the victim before assaulting him and knocking him unconscious. The victim sustained facial injuries and was treated at the Western General Hospital. The offender was described as being Caucasian, around 180cm tall and of medium build with a sleeve tattoo on his left arm.
