On Monday the 08-09-14 an eleven-year-old girl was walking along Francis Street in Yarraville when a white commercial van stopped beside her and asked her to get in. The young girl refused and the offender again requested she get into the van at which time she ran home and told her parents of the incident. The offender is perceived to be of Indian appearance, aged around thirty years, of slim build and with distinctive scarring on his inner right forearm and was wearing an orange turban on his head.
Maribyrnong CIU Detectives are appealing to anyone who may have any information to come forward.
