At around 11.00 am on the 13-02-12 two adult men entered through an unlocked front door in MacFarland Street, one wearing a balaclava, and demanded cash from the two residents. The victims handed over cash before the assailants tied them up with cable in the bedroom and they then searched the house for more valuables. The victims used scissors to cut themselves free and then escaped by climbing through a window to a neighbour’s home and called police. In 2010 there were 2,732 reported victims of robbery in Victoria.
