On Saturday the 25th May 2013 just after 7.30pm a male assailant entered the Essendon bottle shop and threatened the shop attendant with a knife demanding cash from the till. The bottle shop attendant handed over cash and the offender fled running east along Albion Street.
On Monday the 3rd June 2013 just after 7.30pm it is believed that the same assailant wearing a black balaclava entered the same bottle shop and again armed with a knife and threatened the shop attendant demanding cash before fleeing.
