Crimes against a person reached a ten year high, with almost 40% of such crimes related to family violence.

Family Violence related offences accounted for 38.6% of crime against the person.

Crimes against the person rose 7.4%.

Crimes involving weapons, explosives and bad behaviour in public places rose by 20.8%.

The rate of drug offending rose 12.7%.

Residential burglaries rose 1.2%.

Theft of motor vehicles rose 2.5%.

Crimes against the person have increased to above 1000 per 100,000 people for the first time this decade.
