On Monday the 21-07-14 at around 1.30 am an eighteen-year-old male and his seventeen-year-old girlfriend were in Galvin Park in Werribee when they noticed two men on push bikes. The two men started yelling at them and as they got closer demanded the teenagers to empty their pockets at which time the teenagers attempted to run away. The offenders chased down the teenage male and wrestled him to the ground, punching him to the head several times, before stealing his wallet and mobile phone and fleeing. The victim sustained abrasions and swelling to his face. The offenders were described as being Caucasian in appearance and aged in their twenties and wearing hoodies. Werribee police are appealing for public assistance following the aggravated robbery.
