1. Crime rate across Victoria increased by 3.7%

6. Abduction/kidnapping down 10.5%
7. Robberies down 10.25%
8. Homicide down 6.9%
9. Assault down 0.2%
10. Crime against property up by 0.7%
11. Drug offences up by 6.5%
12. Other crime such as intervention order breaches and harassment up by 18.6%
13. Family violence incidents up by 5.7%
14. Family violence-related assaults up 6.2 per cent%

Police Chief Commissioner, Mr Lay, said it was time for police to re-evaluate how crime should be policed in Victoria.
