On the 21-02-17 at around 11.30 pm a male forced his way into a home on Breffna Street in Preston and assaulted a fifty-seven-year-old female occupant. The offender then fled the scene in his motor vehicle running off the road at the intersection of Gladstone and High streets and colliding with the front of a shop. Police pursued the vehicle arresting a sixty-five-year-old man on St Georges Road in Preston.
