On the 25-03-13 at around 3.50 am a twenty-four-year-old male resident awoke to find a burglar going through his bedside table in his Newmarket Street home in Newmarket. The victim jumped out of bed and confronted the offender who ran through a rear door and fled along railway tracks. Two other occupants were at home at the time.
On the 26-03-13 at around 11.30 pm it is believed that the same offender broke into an apartment on Fisher Parade in Ascot Vale through a glass sliding door. The occupants, a twenty-year-old male and a twenty-seven-year-old female, awoke during the burglary and the offender then fled stealing a laptop computer. The offender is described as caucasian, bald and aged around thirties years.
