Just after midnight on the 10th September 2018 three male offenders broke into a home on Loller Street in Springvale after forcing the front door open. The two occupants, who were woken from their sleep, attempted to barricade themselves in a bedroom but one of the burglars forced a metal pole through the door striking the male victim in the stomach. The offenders demanded cash from the couple, fleeing the scene with one of the victim’s handbag. A forty-seven-year-old male victim received minor injuries during the incident.
