In the past three months the following gaming venues have been the target of armed robberies:

11/08/14 – Maribyrnong Rodd in Moonee Ponds

01/08/14 – Sydney Road in Fawkner

26/07/14 – Sydney Road in Fawkner

22/07/14 – Sunshine Avenue in Kealba

14/07/14 – Sunshine Avenue in Kealba

17/06/14 – Mahoneys Road in Thomastown

08/06/14 – Aviation Road in Laverton

02/06/14 – O’Herns Road in Epping

Police believed these armed robberies to be linked and to have been committed by the same Middle Eastern crime syndicate. Police stated that on each occasion there were two to four offenders, who are believed to be aged between sixteen and twenty five years, and were armed with a firearm and an edged weapon and threatened staff. Police are appealing for public assistance.
