On Monday the 30-04-13 there were two separate armed robberies in Notting Hill & Oakleigh.
At around 6.00 pm three masked male offenders threatened the bottle shop attendant at a hotel on Ferntree Gully in Notting Hill with a screw driver. The offenders punched the staff person to the face before stealing cash and cigarettes and fled in a blue vehicle.
At around 6.30 pm two masked assailants entered a milk bar on Burlington Street in Oakleigh and threatened the female shop assistant with a knife. The offenders ripped the cash register from the counter before fleeing in a blue sedan.
Box Hill Embona detectives believe the armed robberies are linked and are appealing for witnesses.
