On Thursday the 23-05-13 at around 8.00 pm two male offenders entered a liquor outlet on Cleevland Road in Ashwood and approached the counter and demanded cash from the staff. A fight then broke out resulting in a seventeen-year-old shop assistant being lacerated to his torso with a knife by one of the offenders. The assailants stole a mobile phone and liquor before fleeing. The victim was transported to the Alfred Hospital by ambulance. Police are investigating the armed robbery.
