On Thursday 16 January 2020 at about 10.30am two male youths, aged fouteen and fifteen, were sitting at a bus stop on Power Road in Doveton. They were approached by a man who pulled a handgun from his pants and demanded the victims’ phones and bags. One of the boys was struck on the back of the head with the firearm and sustained minor injuries. Both victims handed over their belongings and the offender fled the scene on foot.
The offender is perceived to be African in appearance, aged in his early-thirties, with short fluffy black facial hair along his jawline and spoke with an accent. He was wearing a black Kathmandu puffer jacket and a beige Gucci cap with red-and-green stripes down the side.
