On the 21-11-18 at around 10.40am three armed male offenders went to a home on Melbourne Avenue in Glenroy driving a white coloured Toyota Hiace van. The offenders, two armed with long-arm firearms and one with a hand gun, forced their way into the premises via a garage door and once inside threatened a twenty-one-year-old female victim before ransacking the bedrooms. A short time later a male resident and friend returned to the address parking their vehicle in the driveway, blocking the offender’s van in the driveway. The offenders realising they had been parked in turned their firearms on the pair and demanded their car keys. The pair fled leaving the offenders to manually move their car before fleeing in their van having only stolen a mobile phone.
