On Wednesday 10 July 2013 just after 6.40 pm a male assailant entered a convenience store in William Street in the Melbourne CBD and asked the female shop assistant to come to the rear of the store regarding a store product and then followed her back behind the shop counter where he threatened her with a knife and demanded money. The assailant fled north along William Street after being given cash.
