On the 28th May 2013 at around 7.30 pm two women were at a car wash on Dinah Parade in Keilor East when an unknown male got into the back seat and threatened the two females with a large knife demanding their purses and mobile phones.
The male assailant then told the victims to drive to an ATM on Keilor Road and told one of the victims to withdraw cash while holding the other in the motor vehicle at knife point. The male then sexually assaulted both females before demanding to be driving back to east Keilor where he got out and ran off.
Police investigators believe this incident may be linked to a similar incident on the 02-05-13 where a man armed with a sharp weapon commandeered a female’s motor vehicle near the Footscray Market and demanded her to drive to an ATM.
Moonee Valley CIU police are investigating the armed robbery and sexual assault.
