On the 8th February at around 9.45 pm a male assailant armed with a knife entered a Bottle Shop on the Melton Highway at Taylors Lakes and threatened the attendant to open the till. Another employee then arrived and the offender fled.
On the 20th February at around 1.30 am a male assailant walked into a Service Station on Ballarat Road in Albion and threatened the shop attendant with a hand gun. The attendant handed over cash and the assailant fled.
Police believed the same male offender committed both armed robberies.
