On Wednesday the 29-01-14 at around 4.50 pm a twenty-eight-year-old female was waiting at pedestrian lights in Carlton at the intersection of Rathdowne and Grattan Streets when she was punched to her back from behind. The female victim turned at which time the assailant spat in her face before fleeing through Carlton Gardens. The offender was described as being aged around forty- years with a thin build and of olive complexion. Police are appealing for anyone who may have witnessed the physical assault.
