On the 06-03-14 a motor vehicle pulled up behind a twenty-year-old female who was walking along Bulmans Road in Melton West at around 10.00 pm. The male driver asked the woman if she wanted a lift and when she refused he alighted and grabbed her by her hair and punched her to her face. Another motor vehicle was driving towards the incident at which time the assailant returned to his motor vehicle and drove off. Melton police are appealing for any witnesses to the assault to contact them.
