On the 01-10-17 at around 1.00 am two elderly residents, aged 77 and 81 years, residing at a property on Seventh Street in Mildura went outside to investigate noises. The elderly couple were then set-up and assaulted by two men, aged 18 and 20 years, who were later charged by police with Intentional Cause Serious Injury, Recklessly Cause Serious Injury, Intentionally Cause Injury, Recklessly Cause Injury, Common Law Assault, Assault in Company and Wilful Damage and remanded to appear at Mildura Magistrate’s Court. The 77-year-old male victim was transported to a Melbourne hospital with severe facial injuries.
