On Sunday the 13-01-13 at around 9.30 pm two men aged thirty-two and forty years were talking together in a Pakenham street when they were involved in a verbal altercation with four teenage males and one teenage female regarding a shopping trolley. A white motor vehicle then arrived and an adult Maori or Pacific Islander male alighted and struck the forty-year-old to his head causing him to fall to the ground. Two of the teenage boys then attacked the two males resulting in the forty-year-old sustaining serious head injuries and the thirty-two-year-old cuts and abrasions. The two teenage boys were described as being aged from sixteen to eighteen years and also of Maori or Pacific Islander appearance.
