On the 10-07-14 just before 9.30 pm a plain clothed police officer was attacked with a knife in the car park of a fast food outlet on Howitt Street in Wendouree. A male passenger provoked a physical confrontation with the police officer and after the officer employed OC spray the female driver produced a knife and also attacked the officer. The police officer was stabbed twice, once in the face and once in the leg, and was treated at the scene by paramedics and then transported to hospital. The offenders have been apprehended.
