On the 17-01-16 at around 2.00 am a thirty-five-year-old man from New South Wales used an ATM on Smith Street in Collingwood. The man then walked to Little Oxford Street where he was approached by two men who demanded his wallet before tripping him up and assaulting him stealing his wallet and phone before fleeing. The offenders were aged in their twenties and of African appearance. Melbourne Embona Taskforce detectives are appealing for public assistance following the assault and robbery in Collingwood.
