On the 24-01-16 at around 7.00am a twenty-two-year-old man from Pascoe Vale was on a stationary train on the Upfield line when he was approached by an unknown man. The offender then attempted to steal the victim’s phone repeatedly punching him before getting off the train only to promptly returned and continue the assault. The offender was last seen heading south towards the St Kilda Road exit. The victim sustained serious facial injuries and was treated in hospital. Transit Crime Investigation Unit detectives are investigating the incident.
