On the 13-07-18 at around 6.00 am a twenty-seven-year-old man parked his motor vehicle at a public car park at the intersection of Flinders and Spring Streets in Melbourne and was walking towards the pay station to pay for a parking ticket when he was approached by a gang of 10 to 12 male youths. The offenders surrounded the male victim demanding his wallet, mobile phone and car keys. The victim handed over the items but refused to tell the offenders where his car was parked at which time he was assaulted before the offenders ran off towards Treasury Gardens. The offenders were described as being of African appearance, aged in their late teens and were all wearing dark coloured clothing. Melbourne Embona Robbery Taskforce detectives are appealing for witnesses.
