On the 25-04-17 at around 2.45 am a twenty-five-year-old taxi-driver was assaulted by four teenagers in Wollert. The offenders, two males and two females, caught the taxi to Bridge Inn Road where they alighted and attempted to flee without paying the fare. The taxi-driver pursued the offenders when he was set upon and punch and kick sustaining serious head injuries. Two witnesses went to the taxi-driver’s aid and contacted the police who arrived promptly and arrested the four teenage offenders.
