On Monday the 22-10-12 at around 11.00 pm an argument broke out between two men at the Werribee Plaza Tavern in Hoppers Crossing. One of the males then left and soon returned with a gun and an accomplice. The two assailants waited outside for the twenty-six-year-old male to leave the tavern and then attacked him with a shot being fired and the victim was struck to the head with the weapon.  The victim was taken to the Werribee Hospital for treatment. The thirty-one-year-old male assailant was arrested.
