On the 19-08-18 just after midnight a 46-year-old Craigieburn man was sitting in his Mercedes in a supermarket car park on Blair Street in Dallas when two men, both armed with a firearm, exited a nearby vehicle and approached him. The offenders demanded he get out before driving off in his vehicle, while another car followed.

On the 20-08-18 the Fawkner Embona Taskforce investigators took four men and a woman into custody during a planned arrest at an address on Tylden Place in Westmeadows during which two firearms were also seized. A 27-year-old Dandenong North man has been charged with aggravated carjacking and was remanded to appear at Melbourne Magistrates’ Court. A 19-year-old man from Dandenong North has been charged with firearms offences and was remanded to appear at Broadmeadows Magistrates’ Court. Two men and a woman have been released pending further enquiries. The Mercedes was recovered.
