On the 05-08-14 at around 3.10 am fifty-two-year-old man was sitting in his motor vehicle parked on Palmerston Street in Carlton when he was approached by two men. The victim was physically assaulted with a metal object before having cash, a ring, his passport, airline tickets, his wallet and a bag taken. The victim was treated at the Royal Melbourne Hospital and is in a stable condition. Melbourne Embona Taskforce detectives are appealing for witnesses.
