On Sunday the 13-07-14 at around 11.00 am an eighteen-year-old female approached a three-year-old child in Federation Square in the Melbourne CBD before picking her up and walking away. The toddler’s family immediately chased down the woman and retrieved their child. Melbourne SOCIT detectives have since charged the eighteen-year-old with child stealing offences and remanded her to appear at the Melbourne Magistrates Court.
