Victoria Police crime statistics comparing the 12 months to September 2014 with the 12 months to September 2013.

The recorded crime rate across Victoria increased by 3.3% with the total number of offences up by 5.3% to 442,203 offences.

Lucinda Nolan, Deputy Police Commissioner, said the increase was being driven by breaches in bail and intervention orders and more drug offences.

After recent tragedies in Sydney, I’d like to see a state or federal donation trust.
Costs spent on flowers by the public, could be converted into financial assistance for families of victims.
Eg barrister in Sydney siege has 3 children now motherless. The father will need financial assistance ongoing for them all for psychologist, daycare, after school care, cleaning, etc. The converted thousands on flowers plus public donations from those afar, would assist the ongoing costs.

How- a 1300 number to donate or an online Bpay. The bpay could be setup for each case to reduce audit and accounting costs, or as a generic bpay.
Please convert monies into useful appreciative funds.
