On Friday the 29th August 2014 at around 1.45 am a male offender entered a service station on the South Gippsland Highway in Dandenong South and attempted to buy a packet of chewing gum. As he was doing so he produced a knife and demanded that the shop assistant hand over cash. The shop assistant handed over cash and the offender fled and got into a nearby station wagon motor vehicle. Springvale Embona Taskforce detectives are calling for public assistance to the armed robbery.
