On the 18-03-13 at around 11.00 pm police were conducting breath tests along Somerton Road in Campbellfield when the driver of a Holden station wagon failed to stop and then accelerated towards a police officer who was forced to jump out of the way to avoid being struck.
The vehicle was later spotted in Gladstone Park and when police approached the vehicle the driver again drove at them. A pursuit was then initiated twice, once in Gladstone Park and once in Tullamarine, but soon abandoned due to the high speed of the fleeing offender. Later that morning, at around 4.45 am, the stolen vehicle was found burnt out in Westmeadows.
