Police in Windsor Canada will be making available GPS-enabled alarms to high-risk victims of domestic violence. The alarms will be able to alert police of the victim’s location when they feel threatened. The alarm is the same size of a small pager and is integrated with Google maps so that police dispatchers can immediately direct officers to the victim’s exact location. Australian police may wish to consider a similar system.
This would be amazing. It is the worst feeling knowing he is out there, so close and not knowing where is going to come from next. Major stalker in the middle of the bush, police at least half an hour away, and that’s if the station is manned. 3 children to protect.
It would be really cool if people in this situation were finally taken seriously. The amount of people that just dont want to know the truth about domestic violence is quite sad.
