On Sunday the 2nd June 2013 just after 1.00 am a twenty-three-old male was socialising with friends at a hotel on Bridge Road in Richmond when an altercation occurred with another male. The twenty-three-old victim was struck to the face with a glass and sustained a laceration to his cheek and was treated at the St Vincent’s Hospital. The assailant, described as being in his late twenties and of Southern European appearance, fled the scene in a taxi. Police are appealing for any witnesses to the glassing to come forward.
