On the 23-08-12 at around 12.45 am two male assailants armed with guns forced their way into a  Deer Park home and demanded money from one of the three occupants. Money was handed over by a twenty-nine-year-old male victim who was then shot to the leg. The victim was later treated at the Royal Melbourne Hospital for gunshot wounds. The assailants were described as being in their twenties and unknown to the victim.
